For those struggling with severe mental illness

For those struggling with severe mental health symptoms, the search for a new therapist is often complicated by memories of disappointing past experiences in treatments that felt ineffective, impersonal, or poorly attuned to what was really happening.

If you’re seeking help, it’s vital to trust that what you’re bringing into therapy will be heard—not dismissed, explained away, or quickly solved, but listened to with care and attention to what’s at stake for you.

I have specialized experience working with personality disorders, including Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), and Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD); mood disorders such as Bipolar I and II; treatment-resistant OCD; complex behavioral and conduct disorders; and experiences of psychosis. I am also experienced in working with family members affected by caring for someone with one of these conditions.

Ultimately, our symptoms—no matter how disruptive or painful—exist for a good reason. Often it is only when we start to take the meaning of our symptoms seriously that, finally, things can start to change.

If you’d like to learn more about the services I offer, have questions about different therapeutic approaches, or wonder whether therapy could truly make a difference for you, I encourage you to reach out today. I’d be glad to begin a conversation about what kind of treatment you feel is right for you.
